Richard Calcasola, founder of the award-winning
Maximus Spa/Salon in New York’s SoHo and Long Island, is a member of Intercoiffure USA/Canada, the international association that shapes the direction of creativity and professionalism in the beauty industry. Mr. Calcasola has recently been appointed the North American Creative Director for the world wide InterCoiffure Mondial, one of the most prestigious positions in the USA/Canada beauty industry. Calcasola will be part of a world wide creative team assembled from around the world, charged with shaping the perception of the beauty industry and where it’s going for professionals and consumers. His instincts prefer to be where it’s going as opposed to where it’s at.
In addition to traveling to Paris several times a year, Calcasola has completed co-producing couture like presentation to over forty countries in Japan, resulting in receiving “Diplome D’Honneur” award. This season Mr. Calcasola will be the creative mind behind two photo shoots in New York. “Street Fashion” will be included in a global effort of Intercoiffure Mondial to provide images relecting what you are seeing on the streets of New Yoork City. The second shoot will be focusing on “style” and how it differs from fashion.
Recognized by the international beauty industry as a style innovator, Mr. Calcasola combines creativity with business acumen and is considered a beauty services expert. A member of L'Oreal Technique Professionelle's World Color Council, Mr. Calcasola is a frequent guest artist, teacher and speaker at salons throughout the Untied States, Canada and Europe.

Besides being an avid reader of fashion, beauty, music, architecture and the arts, Mr. Calcasola attends fashion and beauty events all over the country including “Fashion Week”” in New York, Cosmoprof in Las Vegas and London’s annual “Hair world."
After 37 years of a passionate career in the beauty field Mr. New York, Mr. Cascasola's credits are many and quite varied. His unwavering commitment to his craft and art has labeled him as a “professional’s professional.”
